Policy Update

We discussed the Club’s policies with a focus on the revised Risk Management policy, now called the Ride Policy.

  • Ride planning – mostly weather-related

  • Equipment – lights, no headphones, drop bars only, no cell use, limited use of e-bikes, contact info

  • The ride – appropriate clothing, food, water, tools, Ride leaders to manage group sizes

Social

  • We are welcoming a new Social Coordinator to the board this year – Dan Lundenberg!

  • We are looking to continue expanding our Social (club organized) and Special Rides (Rider organized); we are looking to do more one-off special rides organized by ride leaders. If you have an idea for a special ride please reach out to the exec.

  • We will be organizing an early season social ride to welcome new members

2026 Ride Leader Program

  • We will be continuing our mentor program to match experienced Ride leaders with new Ride Leaders. If you are interested or have ever considered becoming a ride leader, please watch for more information to come.

  • The “sweep” position will continue to be a “signup” position for all rides, and we will look for ways to recognize those who volunteer for this position in our rides. The sweep position is incredibly helpful to ensure no riders get dropped or left behind, especially in larger groups.

  • We will continue with the Ride Leader competition for our 2026 season. Rules & details to follow.

  • We will be holding a special thank you dinner for our active Ride leaders at the end of the season. Qualification criteria to follow.

EXISTING MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL WILL BEGIN ON SUNDAY, MARCH 1st, AND WILL BE OPEN FOR 2 WEEKS.

New member signup will open to the public on March 15th.

Our official first ride is planned for Sunday, April 12th, weather permitting.

We look forward to a fantastic 2026 season and to see you all out on the road and at our special events!
